The
New York Landmarks Preservation Foundation
The New Landmarks Preservation Foundation, a non-profit organization,
was established in 1980 in order to foster and promote the activities
of the New York Landmarks Preservation Commission, a publicly chartered
agency of New York City responsible for identifying, designating and regulating
the city’s landmarks. The NYLPF provides financial support for the
Commission’s work while cultivating public involvement and shared
participation in preserving and tending the architectural treasures of
New York City. The NYPLF and its Board play an important role in saving
and preserving the City’s cultural heritage for future generations.
