Councilmember Gale A. Brewer
Gale A. Brewer has been representing the Upper West Side and Clinton neighborhoods in the New York City Council since January 1, 2002. Gale's service in the Council is a continuation of nearly 30 years of dedication to making New York a better place to live. She has wide-ranging public, nonprofit, and private-sector experience, and has served in key positions of leadership, management, and advocacy in city and state government, and in community-based organizations.

Career Transition for Dancers
The mission of Career Transition For Dancers is to empower current and former professional dancers, as well as their younger counterparts, with the knowledge and skills necessary to clearly define their career possibilities after dance, and to provide the resources to help make these possibilities a reality.

Foundation for Westchester Clubmen
Established in 1959, the Westchester Clubmen is a volunteer organization of African-American professional men dedicated to sponsoring, mentoring and providing scholarship programs for African-American youth. Their membership includes senior executives of international corporations, business entrepreneurs, physicians, attorneys, and educators. The Westchester Clubmen established the Higher Aims After-School Program in 1991 to provide early constructive educational intervention in the lives of young African American males from economically disadvantaged families. More than 250 youth from the White Plains Middle School have benefited by receiving educational support and other enrichment services.

Citizen Action of New York City
Citizen Action is dedicated to preserving equality in the electoral process. Specifically, the organization fights for quality affordable health care for all, jobs that pay living wages with decent benefits, expanded Medicare coverage for seniors, strong investment in public education and after-school programs, a cleaner environment, an end to corporate tax loopholes and tax breaks for the wealthy, and consumer protections.
